Desiré DeStefano is a massage therapist in training who specializes in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofacial Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Joint Mobility and Tense & Relax Stretching.

Desiré’s journey into massage therapy began as a young girl when she dreamed of becoming a professional dancer. Quite a few years later, as an adult, she finally took a dance class in the style of ballroom. Desiré realized early on that she had little to no control over her body, thus awakening a deep curiosity for the mechanics of movement of human anatomy. She immersed herself into ballet, which only flamed her desire to understand why her body did not move the way she wished it would. Passion drove her to become an instructor for adult, beginner, ballet students. This rewarding experience led her further down the rabbit hole to become a certified Zena Rommett Floor-Barre® instructor, aiming her focus towards alignment, lengthening and strengthening through movement. But still there was something missing, then one day a client suggested massage therapy. Within a week Desiré was enrolled at National Holistic Institute where she studied both Eastern and Western massage modalities as well as in depth science and business classes. In January 2018 she will dive deeper into her education in the Advanced Neuromuscular Program offered at NHI.

Desire' is a great addition to LA Bodywork!
