PALM DESERT, CA — Under the skies of the Coachella Valley, LA Bodywork proudly returned for the third year to support players at the 7th Annual Anthony Anderson Celebrity Golf Classic, held at the prestigious Big Horn Golf Club on May 18–19, 2025. Hosted by the Anderson Family Foundation, the weekend tournament brought together an all-star cast of athletes, entertainers, and wellness experts—all playing for a purpose.
Raising Funds for a Powerful Cause
This year’s tournament wasn’t just about drives and putts—it was a fundraiser with deep impact for charitable causes. Proceeds supported the Anderson Family Foundation, a nonprofit founded by Anthony Anderson, with a mission to uplift inner-city communities, especially those who often don’t receive the help they need.
The foundation’s initiatives focus on education, health, wellness, faith, and mentorship, including college scholarships at Anderson’s alma mater and nonprofit partnerships that support children, young adults, and underserved adults.
A Weekend of Purpose & Play
The weekend kicked off in style with a VIP Welcome Reception & Pairings Party on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at BIGHORN Golf Club. From 6:00–10:00 PM, guests enjoyed gourmet dinner, premium cocktails, a cigar lounge, and mingling with celebrity athletes and entertainers. A live and silent auction kept the energy high and helped boost fundraising efforts.
On Monday, May 19, the tournament officially teed off with:
8:30 AM: Registration + Breakfast
9:45 AM: Celebrity Photo Session + Call to Carts
10:00 AM: Shotgun Start on BIGHORN’s iconic fairway
3:30 PM: Post-Tournament Awards Celebration honoring winners
Elite Recovery on the Fairway
Whether they were first to tee off or swinging at sunset, celebrity golfers turned to LisaMarie Arreguin and the LA Bodywork team for relief and recovery between holes. Known for their sports-specific bodywork, LA Bodywork brought hands-on care to the course, addressing everything from shoulder stiffness to low back tightness.
“Even a perfect swing can take a toll on the body,” said LisaMarie. “We’re here to help these athletes recover fast so they can keep performing their best—all while supporting an incredible cause.”
Achedaway: Power in Your Hands
This year, LA Bodywork also introduced Achedaway devices into their on-site recovery sessions. These high-powered percussion massagers helped players quickly release muscle tension and boost circulation—perfect for pre-round prep and post-game relief.
Not only were Achedaway tools a favorite among guests, but they were also part of a special on-site giveaway. One lucky attendee, @funky, won an Achedaway device by sinking 3 putts in a row—proving recovery doesn’t have to wait for the clubhouse!
Rollga SoCal: Recovery Beyond the Greens
Rollga SoCal also made its mark on the green this year—literally and figuratively. Among the many fans were Misa and Maiya Tanaka, twin golfers and rising stars who not only made some impressive putts during the tournament but also fell in love with the Rollga rollers.
